Bikaner is a city in the state of Rajasthan. We went to Bikaner from Jodhpur. The distance from Jodhpur to Bikaner is 249 kms. It takes 5 hours by road to reach Bikaner from Jodhpur. On our way to Bikaner, we went to the Karni Mata Temple (Also known as the Temple of Rats) at Deshnok. It is 600 years old temple.

In Bikaner, we stayed at Narendra Bhavan. It was once a residence of the Maharaja of Bikaner - Narendra Singhji.

One of the attraction of Bikaner is the Laxmi Niwas Palace. It is not opened for everyone as it is a heritage hotel. But it is opened for the guests who are staying at Narendra Bhavan. So, we got the chance to see the beautiful palace of Bikaner -The Laxmi Niwas Palace. The movie Khoobsurat starring Sonam Kapoor was shot here.

The another magnificient place in Bikaner is the Junagadh Fort. This fort is land fort.

We also went to The National Research Centre on Camel. It is establish to promote research and development of the Camels. It is located 10 kms away from the Bikaner City. We had Camel milk Ice-cream there. It was fun to see different breeds of Camels and their young ones.

The National Research on Equines is also there in Bikaner. We had a quick round of the whole area in the horse cart.
